I keep reading stories that warn that we are losing our Democracy. That the experts that know history, know social trends, and know how governments fall are all warning that this county is in peril and that we are in serious risk of losing our democracy. Personally, I don’t believe it. These stories are all predictions, opinions, observations, and revelations of similarities to past incidents. But we are America, freedom is something that every American whether 1st or 20th generation, native, white, black, brown, and other has an invested interest in and would fight to keep, or so I believe. But this morning’s Raw Story titled “Civil war expert recoils in horror at interviews with Trump fans: 'They don’t want democracy anymore' got me thinking.
If, by some unexpected turn of events, we are to lose our democracy what type of government do “We the people” want to try next? Now I understand that the story referenced above was referring to MAGA fans and that is a small representation of the people and not the most intelligent ones at that. I also know that readers of Daily Kos are more intelligent and left leaning. But I thought it might be worth asking the question. So, here it is.
