White Blame

"Should ALL White people be blamed for something that happened 200 years ago?"

No, not BLAMED - it's being responsible to what we know NOW. I am a White person inviting my fellow Whites who may have doubts to picture the situation in REVERSE:
For arguments sake, let’s pretend you and I come from enslaved ancestors who were owned by Black people…
Our ancestors were raped and lynched and terrorized by Black KKK-types so they had better stay in their "place".  And back then (150 years ago), some of those Black slave traders of our own ancestors actually went to Civil War to keep things that way, and STATUES were even erected to honor them and what they fought for....

If we continue the comparison, here we are today as (White) descendants of slaves STILL trying to get an equal footing in a Black dominated country we were kidnapped and brought to.

QUESTION: In that situation, would we be defending those (now) Black statues of the people who kidnapped and enslaved our (White) ancestors? Would we be as tolerant of "White Face Jokes", and pass it ALL off as just somebody's fondly cherished heritage, like Thanksgiving or dancing the old jig?
---------------
FINALLY, in that situation, how would we feel about those would-be Black militias who would call themselves “Proud”, and would TODAY be willing to kill us to keep that Black statue that honors the person who fought and killed for the right to enslave their fellow human beings for fun and profit -
