I read somewhere that some more sensible people around Richard Nixon, seeing him go crazy toward the end, created some kind of buffer between him and the nuclear launch codes to prevent him from blowing up the world in a drunken rage. I really hope the hell some more sensible people are doing the same now, if they haven’t already, with the current White House occupant.
To quote Rick Wilson’s book title: “Everything Trump touches dies.” The malignant part of malignant narcissism doesn’t seek attention, doesn’t obsess over crowd sizes. It is insanely angry and destructive and it lashes out violently at whatever makes it feel threatened. Whatever power the malignant narcissist has, he uses to destroy those around him, whether it be people or institutions. Careers, businesses, institutions, national monuments, sacred lands, coastal cities, the Republican Party… he scythes them down like wheat in his enraged floundering.

He sparks other people with destructive personalities to rile up their destructive followers, inciting rebellion and insurrection against the authority of the United States.

The first rule of understanding Trump is projection, or projecting his negative introject, as Freud would put it. That means accusing someone else of doing exactly what he is doing, has done or is about to do (which makes an accurate accusation against him look like mere tit-for-tat) . This hypocrisy that defies belief is another Narcissistic Personality Disorder trait. Rigging elections, getting help from a foreign power, being crooked, inappropriate use of government facilities for personal benefit, persecuting someone innocent, you name it. Someone should maybe check to see if he was actually born in Kenya.
We can know his views from those he attributes to his enemies reliably. Dementia and having fired the saner of his handlers is making the filters come off and showing the eruption of blackness clearly.
He does not care whether he burns down and destroys the nation. He wants something to happen from which the country will never heal. The selfishness and hubris of the narcissist knows no bounds. In a January 2017 post on the disorder, I mentioned the young man who was happy his girlfriend committed suicide due to her relationship with him, because it proved he was significant. That is what you are looking at. Except on a national scale.

He has a fascination with blood. Remember, “blood coming out of her whatever”? This lying plaque is an outward expression of the diseased cauldron of toxic pus that is his inner world.
Would he hesitate to lash out on a national scale? He’s already tweeted it.
Global? Destroy civilization to slake his fury?
You know he would. He sees himself as the Greatest Ever. The One who can Hereby Order. The Chosen One. A malignant narcissist’s hubris knows no bounds. Especially one who is used to having a lot of power.
I really don’t like writing anything so alarming. I agree with the cooler heads that there won’t be an all-out Civil War. There aren’t that many people who’d fight for... that.
But, because other people are absolutely nothing to him — people, especially Republicans, need to understand that: NOTHING — he wants to take any number of us with him if he goes down. It will inspire mass shootings. And — unless there’s something between him and that button — his madness could leave the scars of billions of deaths on humanity.
