The Undeclared Civil War

We might have once thought of conservatives as hard-tack mid-westerners, or old-time New Englanders, but politicians saw the unrepentant Confederacy with opportunistic eyes and now the South has quite a bit of political power. The Confederacy has won without a war. You have only to look at the states that are dominated by the GOP  - a segregated world with all the resources held tightly by the white plantation elites and all others - including their broodmare women - living on white men’s mercy and not much else.
